Dr Mohamed Taki Al-Kamil is Head of Academic Services at Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute, a position he has held since 2008. Prior to his current role, he was Chair of Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management Departments at Abu Dhabi Mens College from 2003-08. In 1997 he worked as a visiting professor at UAE University and in 1998 at the Faculty in Chemical Engineering at Abu Dhabi Mens' College. From 1988-1991 he was Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering at Basrah University and he was promoted to Head of the Chemical Engineering department in 1991. From 1977-81 he worked as a Construction Engineer in the South LPG project in Basrah, prior to becoming a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at Basrah University. He received a PhD in Radiative Heat Transfer from Leeds University, UK in 1976.
