Dr Mohamed Ismail Abd Aziz is Associate Professor and Director in the Office of International Affairs at University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM). He is also head of the Critical Agenda Project (Internationalisation) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. Dr Mohamed Ismail Abd Aziz has held various administrative positions in UTM for more than ten years. These positions include Head of Department for External Programmes, Faculty of Science; Deputy Director for the School of Professional and Continuing Education and Deputy Director for the Office of International Affairs.

Dr Mohamed Ismail Abd Aziz is an applied mathematician specialising in optimal control theory and its applications. He has a PhD from City University, London in Control Engineering and a Master's degree (Mathematics of Control Systems) from Loughborough University.
