This poster presentation will summarise the role of E-Craft in empowering women. Women in society fall into four categories: uneducated, under-educated, educated and higher educated. Moving on from traditional craft skills, electronic craft skills can be exhibited or taught as a way to communicate new tools and techniques to these women. For example, under-educated women can be taught hardware operations and maintenance, tele marketing, and others; educated women can be taught MS Office, Internet accessing, web design, data entry and others; and higher educated women can be taught e-counselling, fashion or web design and other e-trades. Physically and visually challenged women can be trained according to their particular needs.
