The Institute for Communication and Information Research (ICIR) is dedicated to supporting the research activities of the faculty and graduate students of the College of Communication and Information Sciences at the University of Alabama. The ICIR researches the media's role in health literacy and how media can be used to inform the general public and promote health conscious decisions.
