The Skadden, Arps Honors Program in Legal Studies is a unique partnership between Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP—one of the preeminent law firms in the world—and The City College of New York.
Our purpose is to prepare students from low-income and underrepresented groups for successful legal careers and to enrich and diversify the legal profession. Our students develop analytical and critical thinking skills by taking seminars taught by the Joseph H. Flom Professor of Legal Studies. Through selective internships our students are exposed to the intricacies and dynamics of resolving legal disputes. Combining scholarship with mentoring from leading legal professionals, the Skadden, Arps Honors Program offers students an exceptional pathway to an exciting and rewarding legal career.
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, with approximately 2,000 lawyers in 24 offices on five continents, serves clients in every major international financial center. In addition to handling many of the most significant corporate and litigation matters worldwide, Skadden is well-known for its longtime commitment to diversity and its history of public sector work, a description of which can be found on the Diversity and Community Involvement pages.
