The Macaulay Honors College at City College
Requirements
All Honors College students take four special interdisciplinary seminars focusing
on NYC and fulfill additional liberal arts core requirements in the City College Honors program (depending on their major). In the upper division (junior and senior years), students may take additional honors college sponsored courses and must complete a senior project.
Students must complete an internship or study abroad program and have a minimum of 30 hours community or college service over the course of their four-year program.
Retention Criteria
Students are expected to achieve an overall 3.3 G.P.A. by the end of their first year and a 3.5 G.P.A. by the end of their second year, which must be maintained until graduation. Upon successful completion of the program, the designation “William E. Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York” is entered on the student’s record.
