The City College of New York Faculty Handbook
The City College of New York is proud of its outstanding faculty and strives to create a positive environment where research and scholarship thrive. This Faculty Handbook has been written to help each faculty member establish and continue a rewarding and productive career here.
The Handbook is designed to meet two needs: to provide new members of the faculty with a general introduction to the College and to serve as a permanent reference containing information of importance regarding organization, rules, procedures, and services to all members of the faculty, who are urged to familiarize themselves with the material collected here.
All colleges have a personality, and the personality of City College – the quintessential college of New York City – reflects that of the city itself: multicultural, multilingual, rich in resources, embracing diversity, and always bustling. Your students and colleagues look forward to working with you in this dynamic and creative environment.
Welcome and best wishes for an exciting and productive career at The City College of New York.
