CCNY's staff and departments are supported by two different Computing Support Divisions, both under the umbrella of the AVP and CIO of Information Technology.
The Administrative Computing
Group supports departments such as Human Resources, Payroll, and Physical Plant.
The Academic Computing Group
(aka the CCNY Helpdesk
) supports all the academic departments and centers.
There are also local helpdesks throughout the campus, funded by the schools or subdivisions they support but working in collaboration with the main IT service desk office in CCS.
