City College Key Policy

In an effort to improve security for all concerned, we request your compliance with the following protocol.

ALL REQUESTS FOR KEYS MUST BE ON THE OFFICIAL KEY APPLICATION FORM.  YOU CAN OPEN THE FORM, TYPE IN THE INFORMATION THEN PRINT IT OUT (A PDF DOCUMENT) BY CLICKING KEY APPLICATION.

PLEASE NOTE: The application requires a name for each key requested: one name; one key.

This application form must be approved by the dean or chairperson.

The signed and approved CCNY key application form must be submitted for processing to the Facilities Office, Compton Goethals Hall Room 04, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.  You may also submit the request via email.  Since it is a PDF document you will have to print it out and have the appropriate Dean, Chairperson or Department Head sign it then scan and email it to Facilities@ccny.cuny.edu.   You may also fax it to us at (212) 650-6874.

The average turnaround time to make a key is 48 business hours.

You will have to pickup the order from the Public Safety Department office located in NAC 4/201, between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Public Safety will notify you when your order is ready.

You will need to show your valid CCNY ID card to pick up a key.
