Undergraduate Research Support Program
The Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon is accepting applications from UIS students for its annual awards. The scholarly project must be ongoing and conducted at Emiquon or be directly related to the Emiquon Restoration Site. Application deadline is November 15, 2013. For details, visit uis.edu/emiquon. Congratulations to Brittany Sievers, recipient of the University of Illinois President’s Research in Diversity Travel Award to support research presentation at the 2013 American Psychological Association convention in Honolulu in August 2013.
Congratulations to Brianna Werner, recipient of an MPA regional Travel grant for 2012-13. Brianna got her award through the Psychology Honor Society to support her travel to the Midwestern Psychological Association to present research in May 2013.

Upcoming Events and Deadlines
Undergraduate students from all disciplines are encouraged to submit an abstract to present their undergraduate research, scholarly or creative work at The National Conference on Undergraduate Research. The UIS Undergraduate Research Support Program will sponsor up to eight students to present at NCUR on April 3- 5, 2014, in Lexington, KY.
