The Center for State Policy and Leadership has been honored with the Grey Warrner Friend of Community Action Award from the Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies (IACAA). Bill Lear has many titles. More than 500 volunteers gathered in the UIS Recreation and Athletic Center in November 2013 to help assemble Manna Packs for hungry children around the world. It was called the Feed My Starving Children event.

We’re very pleased that UIS students helped to collect 11,147 pounds of food for the Central Illinois Foodbank on Halloween night this year – and just as grateful that the community responded so well to our students’ Trick or Treating for Canned Goods. Thanks to all.
