Course List

The following courses are currently offered by the Mathematical Sciences Department.  Note that not all courses are offered each semester. Courses with a number higher than 330 are offered only in an online format.

Math transfer students should not consider taking the first eight courses in the list below. Courses with numbers less than 330 are either service courses for majors from other fields or prerequisites. None of these will count as upper division program requirements toward the Mathematical Sciences degree.

The calculus prerequisites for MAT courses should have been met preferably no more than seven years before enrolling in the core courses. Students who completed their prerequisite courses more than seven years before enrollment should discuss with an instructor their plans for repeating or reviewing the material.

MAT 431 is to be completed before attempting MAT 432. MAT 332 Linear Algebra must be completed before attempting MAT 403, 404, 415, or 444.
