Benjamin Walsh

Dr. Benjamin Walsh, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Management in the College of Business and Management. Dr. Walsh teaches Managing Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Acquiring and Developing Talent at UIS. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Connecticut in 2011. While at UConn, he also completed graduate certificates in Quantitative Research Methods and Occupational Health Psychology.

Dr. Walsh’s research centers largely on the interpersonal work environment, with a particular focus on civility and mistreatment in the workplace. He also conducts research on psychological and organizational climate, training effectiveness, and the hiring process. Dr. Walsh’s research has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals and presented at professional meetings.
