Post Doctoral Position: Liberal Studies
STARTING DATE: August 15, 2013
POSITION DESCRIPTION: One year postdoctoral position in the Liberal and Integrative Studies department at the University of Illinois at Springfield, beginning Fall 2013. This self-designed interdisciplinary degree program seeks a post-doc for interdisciplinary teaching and research on the topic of liberty. Duties include teaching, student engagement, and formal research. Requirements: Ph.D. in the Humanities or Social Sciences with a knowledge of liberty and freedom from any academic discipline. Preferred candidates will be proficient with social media. The ideal candidate will have research interests connected to the Scottish Enlightenment or history of capitalism. Possibility of a second year contingent on funding and performance.
Post Doctoral Position: Economics
STARTING DATE: August 15, 2013
One year postdoctoral position in economics in the Liberal and Integrative Studies Department at the University of Illinois at Springfield, beginning Fall 2013. Duties include teaching, student engagement, and formal research. Requirements: Ph.D. in Economics with a knowledge of liberty and freedom from any academic discipline. Preferred candidates will be willing and able to teach business math and statistics. The ideal candidate will have research interests connected to new institutional economics or political economy. Possibility of a second year contingent on funding and performance.
