Storing Files at UIS

As we increase the size and variety of files that need to be stored with other faculty, students, and staff here at UIS, the Center for Online Learning, Research, and Services and Information Technology Services has put together the following list of file types and a recomended location for you to store them so that you are able to share them with the appropriate people.

What do I do if my PowerPoint is too large?

What if my PowerPoint has audio?

What if my department or I run out of space of eDocs?

Users that require additional space for academic or administrative needs may submit a request by emailing Technical Support Center (techsupport@uis.edu). Requests should include an explanation of the need for additional space.

Where are my Echo 360 recordings stored?

Echo 360 recordings are saved on a UIS server that is accessible by going to https://uisapreso1.uis.edu:8443. Please contact Kara McElwrath at 206-8237 or kmcel2@uis.edu.

Where are my Camtasia Relay videos stored?

Camtasia Relay videos are saved on a UIS server that is accessible by going to https://uiscamtasiar.uis.edu/Relay/. Please contact Kara McElwrath at 206-8237or e-mail kmcel2@uis.edu.

How do I know if my department has eDocs space? / Who is in charge of my department’s eDocs space?

Contact the Technology Support Center at 206-6000 or e-mail techsupport@uis.edu. They will be able to provide you with the name of your deparment’s eDocs administrator.
