The Department of Human Development Counseling operates under a committee system. The Department has combined the functions of good governance: the executive, the judicial, and the legislative into this one sovereign body known as the Department Committee. This body consists of HDC faculty and two students — one elected Student Department Representative and the Graduate Assistant. The Committee holds its regular meetings on alternate Tuesdays of the month, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in Brookens 325. Meetings are open to the university community and Department students are especially welcome. Any Department member may submit an item for inclusion on the agenda no less than four days prior to a meeting. The Department Chair serves as chairperson of the Committee.
