Life in Springfield, Illinois

Springfield is a small city in America’s Heartland, and the capital of Illinois. It is perhaps best known for its many historical ties to Abraham Lincoln — in fact, the greater Springfield area is often called the Land of Lincoln. Among the many impressive historical sites in Springfield are the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, and Lincoln’s Tomb. Springfield is known as a very affordable place to live with much to offer in its array of restaurants, businesses and shopping, recreational areas, education, and the arts.
