Transfer Student Information

UIS accepts Transfer students from all over the world, while providing a smooth and easy transition for them. Students who are considered transfer students should contact their department advisors before they register for courses.  Students should be made aware of transfer credits that will be used towards their degree and courses they need to take, in order to fulfill program requirements.

Student Financial Support

ECCE ( Engaged Citizenship Common Experience)

All students attending the University of Illinois at Springfield, are expected to complete ECCE credits. A total of 10 credit hours needs to be complete, in addition to regular program requirements, in order to receive a Bachelor’s Degree.  Of those 10 credits, 1 needs to be a ECCE: Speaker Series course.  Transfer students should contact their program advisors for ECCE information or visit, http://www.uis.edu/generaleducation/transfer/.  For a full listing of ECCE courses and additional information about ECCE,  please click here.

Registration and DARS Reporting

Students are highly encouraged to speak with their Academic Advisors before class registration. Academic Advisors assist in class selection , helping students read and understand their DARS ( Degree Audit Reporting System), and finally help them in their quest of receiving their desired degree.  Students will use their university NET ID and Password, for registration purposes and to check their DARS. For more information on Registration Policy and DARS, click the links below: https://www.uis.edu/registration/, https://www.uis.edu/registration/registration/.

The link below provides a tutorial on how to read and access your DARS. Click below for more information:
