Istanbul-UK Writers' Residency

In partnership with Writers’ Centre Norwich

In partership with the Writers' Centre Norwich in the UK and SALT in Turkey, the British Council have set up a reciprocal writers' residency programme.

Between 1 September and 30 November 2012, two writers from Turkey, Sema Kaygusuz and Bejan Matur spent 6 weeks each at Writers' Centre Norwich, focusing on their writing, making connections within the local literature community and being inpired by their experiences in the UK.

Between 7 January and 28 February British writer Benjamin Wood has been doing the same in Istanbul.
