The Earth Debates

The British Council, The natural History Museum and Stakeholder Forum are working together to host a series of four public debates which will be webcast live during the months of January, February, March and April 2012. You can watch them streaming live here.


Atlas of Islamic World Science and Innovation (AIWSI) is an international project that aims to provide an overview of science and science-based innvoation across the Islamic-world.


KORANET (Korean scientific cooperation network with the European Research Area) aims at intensifying and strengthening S&T cooperation between Korea and Europe. The project is funded under the 7th EU Research Framework programme and runs from January 2009 to December 2012.


MIRA (Mediterranean Innovation and Research coordination Action) is a European initiative aimed at encouraging scientific collaboration between the EU and the Mediterranean partner countries.

Climate Change

Our Climate Change programme aims to build an understanding of climate change amongst the public and a desire to do something about it. We are working to strengthen networks and relationships among decision makers, influencers and future leaders worldwide to tackle climate change.

Global Dialogues

Global dialogues is a series of international educational conferences hosted by the British Council. It offers an open forum for policy makers and practitioners from around the world to discuss issues facing the international education community.

Science Policy

Each year, we run global science projects to communciate messages around exciting or topical scientific issues, focusing on science and sustainability. Our projects invovle a variety of activities, including exhibitions; workshops; educational activities; global debates; publications and other learning materials, designed to enthuse the wider public about the issues.
