Our Graduate Programs

The department of Chemical Engineering offers graduate students a choice between a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, a Professional Master's degree, M.E. (Ch.E) and a M.S. Engineering).

Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
The Ph.D. Program in Engineering prepares selected students for academic research and management careers in the fields of engineering. Doctoral work in engineering is offered at the Grove School of Engineering of The City College.

Areas of study in Chemical Engineering include bio- and nanomaterials, biomedical engineering, transport phenomena, fluid mechanics, interfacial phenomena, boiling heat transfer, air pollution control, powder technology, chemical reaction engineering, polymers and polymer films, battery materials, flow battery, renewable energy, energy storage, two phase flow, colloidal science & technology, and molecular and particulate self-assembly.
