Meet the Chemical Engineering Faculty

The Chemical Engineering faculty at The City College of New York comprise some of the greatest minds thinking in the field today. As a student you will find yourself in constant contact with our faculty — learning, sharing, and exploring every aspect of the field of Chemical Engineering.

M. Lane Gilchrist
Dr. Gilchrist is an Assistant Professor in both the Chemical Engineeering and Biomedical Engineering Departments at The Grove School of Engineering at CCNY. His primary research interests lie in the area of membrane protein-based biomolecular materials.

Charles Maldarelli
Dr. Maldarelli is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at The City College of New York. He specializes in interfacial and biomembrane phenomena.

Jeff Morris
Dr. Morris is Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Levich Institute.  He specializes in the study of suspensions and colloids with a major area of focus upon the microstructure and rheology of the mixtures. Primary goals of his research program at present include the development of bulk flow models for concentrated suspensions, and the application of understanding of suspension flows to novel situations including coating and drop formation.
