Position: Part-Time Coordinator/Instructor

Description: South Suburban College is seeking to fill a part time Echocardiography coordinator position effective for the currently and subsequent semesters. SSC is looking for a person who can combine instruction; assist with our application for accreditation with CAAHEP, and coordination abilities to maintain the quality expected by our accrediting agency, HLC for both classroom and clinical internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• An Associate’s degree in Cardiac Sonography with 5 years experience or A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cardiac Sonography with 3 years experience.
• Must have an either CCT, RCES, RCIS, RCS, or RVS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Knowledgeable of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs/Joint Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology (CAAHEP/JRC-CVT) Standards.
• At least three (3) years experience in, or affiliated with, an accredited cardiac sonography program. Experience with developing didactic and clinical outcomes on a program and course level. Excellent technology and classroom management skills.

Status/Salary: This is a regular part-time position with salary to be determined by placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
