Changes to Routes 10/110 and Route 22: Updated

Effective December 7, 2008, Oakville Transit will be introducing the following changes:

Route 10/110 - UPDATED

Routes 10 and 110 to remain as two separate routes!

Last year's Fourth Line closure required Oakville Transit to split the regular 10 West Industrial into two - the number 110 and the number 10 routes.  This routing change was intended as a temporary measure during the construction.  With the reopening of Fourth Line, Oakville Transit announced it would be returning to the regular route 10.  A number of our riders communicated with us on how much they relied on the split route, and how much more convenient it was for them.

Oakville Transit has assessed the route performance relative to cost.  As a result, Transit will be maintaining the split routing, however, due to the lower ridership levels on the Route 110, the schedule will be reduced to three trips in the morning, and three trips in the afternoon.

Route 22

Route 22 will be providing greater coverage to the West Oak Trails community with a routing change.  Route 22 will travel up Postmaster to Pine Glen, and make a short loop around the West Oak Village Long Term Care facility, and then continue west along Pine Glen (instead of its current routing up Third Line).  This change will allow residents in the north-west corner of West Oak Trails to have greater access to public transit.  Please visit the schedule page for the schedule for Route 22 as well as the new route map.
