3M Cloud Library Logo Downloadable eBooks are now available for Apple and Android devices through the State Library of Kansas and the 3M Cloud Library, a provider of lendable eBooks!

A State Library Card will be required - visit the library and register for one at the Reference Desk.

NOTE: eBooks for the Kindle, Nook and other devices that require transferring titles from a computer are not currently available. Please realize that 3M Cloud Library is a brand new product. It takes time to incorporate new options.

Three Events, Four Authors: Mary O'Connell with Laura Moriarty, Joe Drape, Max Grinnell

Four nationally-acclaimed authors will speak at Lawrence Public Library in February. Local author Laura Moriarty will interview Iowa Writer's Workshop alum Mary O'Connell about her critically acclaimed teen novel The Sharp Time on February 2; New York Times sportswriter Joe Drape will talk about his 2008 bestseller Our Boys: A Perfect Season on the Plains with the Smith Center Redmen on February 8, and urbanologist Max Grinnell will deliver his lecture What We Talk About When We Talk About Art in Cities on February 20 in conjunction with The Commons at KU's series on Urban Palimpsest.
