What Will I Learn?

The Business curriculum at Heartland includes courses for transfer preparation, as well as courses for those interested in developing business-related job skills, continuing education, or pursuing a certificate program in sales or small business management. What Is The Occupational Outlook?

Employment in business management is projected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations through 2014. 1

Earnings in business vary greatly depending on the employer, the specialty, and the geographic area. For example, in the State of Illinois in 2006, the median annual salary was $54,041 for business and financial operations occupations, $76,249 for business management occupations, and $87,602 for computer and information systems managers. 2
