Take College Classes While Still In High School
College Now
High school juniors and seniors can get an edge on their college education with the College Now program.
Students who qualify can begin taking courses at Heartland for college credit while they are still in high school. It's a great way to be introduced to a college classroom setting, and get credits that can transfer to the college of their choice. If you are interested in starting classes while still in high school you must fill out the College Now form* (available in PDF format, 114 KB, 2 pages) to be accepted to Heartland.
For students under the age of 16, decisions for early admission and student enrollment are made on a case-by-case basis and if approved are limited to one (1) academic class during their first term at HCC. Please note, the early admission form* (available in PDF format, 90 KB, 2 pages) and the College Now form* (available in PDF format, 114 KB, 2 pages) must be completed by students who are under the age of 16.
To find out if you qualify, speak to your guidance counselor.
*Note: You must download and install Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™ in order to view and print the early admission and dual enrollment forms.
