Heartland is now offering Athletic Camps and Clinics! This winter, sign up to improve your skills and promote your talent to the area's best coaches and instructors. Each camp will feature quality instruction along with helpful feedback to elevate your game at your current skill level.

Heartland Hawks Winter Baseball Pitching & Defense Camp, Grades 5-12

February 4-5, 2012 - HCC Fitness & Recreation Center - Normal, IL

Pitchers bring your catcher and prepare for the upcoming spring season. Enrollment is limited and instruction is personalized for your skill improvement and refinement. Pitchers, you will have your mechanics evaluated and adjusted. From there, you will move on to fastball location and off-speed pitch execution. Heartland Pitching Coach and former Detroit Tiger, Josh Kauten, will work with you throughout the clinic. Catchers, you will learn proper catch and throw footwork, framing and blocking techniques. Pitching and catching experience is recommended.

Heartland Hawks Winter Baseball Hitting Camp, Grades 3-12

February 11-19, 2012 - HCC Fitness & Recreation Center - Normal, IL

You’ll start with the basics and move to individual adjustments quickly during this four session hitting school. Enrollment is limited to provide personalized attention. Join Heartland

Assistant Coach Ryan Knox as he shares the skills and techniques he learned during his eight year profession career with the Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays. You will learn rotational lower half mechanics and the linear bat path swing. Teaching and adjustments will be geared to each player and will build upon each other throughout the sessions. This hitting school will cover the swing in its entirety and leave you with a plan to enter next season more confident in your swing and more productive on the field.
