The successful candidate will be the server administrator and system integrator for tasks that may involve differing computing environments. The position will be responsible for maintenance of server operating systems such as Solaris, Linux, and of lesser importance Windows and support applications such as the college e-mail systems, library systems, workflow tool, job scheduling system and the college's document imaging package.
- Provide support to the computer user community including backup, coding, testing, implementation, monitoring, job scheduling of computer processes, and documentation.
- Manage all aspects of various server systems running on Solaris, Linux, or Windows servers that provide a variety of administrative and academic network applications and services.
- Assist the System Manager with maintaining the technologies support by the Office of Information Technology.
- Provide solutions to users with various integration needs of software systems to other systems that run on differing operating systems/computing environments, or with third party provided solutions.
- Performs other duties relevant to the position as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in a relevant discipline with three years of current and continuous experience with Unix, Linux, or Solaris server administration, e-mail systems, and user support are required. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with two or more years of like experience preferred.
SALARY RANGE: $37,104 - $46,368
