These checks include a close inspection of landscaping, grounds keeping, indoor and outdoor lighting, fire code compliance, door and window locks, and compliance with OSHA regulations. Reports are sent to the Department of Maintenance and Plant Operations on all maintenance needs which are sighted during these patrols.
Use of Facilities
The policy concerning the use the use of college buildings and facilities was developed under auspices of the Tennessee Board of Regents. Any outside group must submit written requests and related material to the Department of Maintenance and Plant Operations. On-campus groups and cosponsored requests also must follow this procedure. Any "special" use of the college facilities must have the approval of this office. Cleveland State Community College prescribes that security be modified prior to any entry into the administrative offices after normal business hours. Telephones are provided for your use to contact security at the main entrance to the Administration Building, outside main entrance of the L Quentin Lane Gymnasium and outside the north entrance of the Coleman Community Services Building. Except when part or all of the campus facilities are open to the general public for a designated time and purpose, the buildings and facilities and campus are accessible only to the students, staff, faculty, guests and other visitors of CSCC. However, there are limitations to this accessibility. All persons who utilize the CSCC campus must provide adequate identification to officials and security personnel. Refusal to do so may result in disciplinary action, a request to leave the campus, or arrest.
