Honors Program - Qualifying Criteria

To qualify for Cleveland State's Honors Program, you must meet the following entrance criteria.

  • Cumulative high school grade average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0
  • No outstanding developmental course requirements (other than DSPM 0850 - Intermediate Algebra)
  • ACT Composite score of 24 or higher or SAT combined score of 940 or higher.
  • Cumulative Cleveland State GPA of 3.25 or higher after completing 12 semester hours of college level work (nine of these must be Cleveland State hours)
  • Transfer from an accredited institution with a minimum of 12 hour college credit and a GPA of 3.25 or better, a written recommendation from a faculty member at the transfer institution and approval of the Honors Review Committee
