Career Opportunities
Students receiving an Associate of Science degree in Human Services/Social Work may find jobs working in the mental health field, substance abuse treatment, working with people with developmental disabilities and with preschool children.
Students are encouraged to pursue their bachelor’s degree where career choices are unlimited. People who receive their first two years at CSCC and transfer to a 4 year university to obtain their BSW and MSSW (2 additional years) have career choices in the fields of mental health, school social work, public and child welfare, aging/gerontology, justice and corrections, substance abuse treatment, developmental disability services, employment/ occupational social work, healthcare, community organization, management and administration, policy and planning and international social work.
