Technology Department
Our programs prepare students for many high-tech careers. Students can earn an Associate of Applied Science (A. A. S.) degree in one of our many concentrations:
- Computer Information Technology (ATMAE Accredited)
- Construction Technology (ATMAE Accredited)
- Drafting & Design (ATMAE Accredited)
- Electronics (ATMAE Accredited)
- Electro-mechanical Maintenance (ATMAE Accredited)
- Operations Technician (ATMAE Accredited)
Or, for those wishing to enter the workforce as soon as possible or change careers, we offer Certificate Programs which can lead to certification in one of several areas; Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Construction and Heating and Air Conditioning (Climate Control) to name a few.
Often, students will start out working toward a certificate, and then decide to complete the additional courses necessary for the A. A. S. degree. In addition, credits from our courses are often accepted at four-year colleges and universities, especially those that are part of the Tennessee Board of Regents.
Graduates of our programs have the skills to succeed in today’s fast-paced work place. They have both the technical experience and confidence to succeed in their chosen career. According to our latest figures, over 90% of our graduates are employed after graduation.
