Government Resources 

The Cleveland State Library is a Federal Depository Library. The library is a selective depository and currently holds more than 10,000 federal documents from 874 item categories. The most frequently used documents are located in the Reference and General collections. The records for these documents are in the online public access catalog (OPAC). The remaining documents are located in the Government Documents room. These documents are arranged in Superintendent of Documents Number (SuDoc) order. SuDoc number may be located in the Monthly catalog which is available on the web.

Government Printing Office (GPO)
GPO's main web page. It contains information about the GPO programs and links to the other GPO sites.
GPO Federal Digital System (FDsys)
"GPO's Federal Digital System (FDsys)  provides public access to government information submitted by Congress and Federal agencies and preserved as technology changes."
 
GPO Access
A search site for 70 databases of government documents. Utilize the Specialized Search Pages to develop more detailed search queries for several databases including the Commerce Business Daily, the Federal Register and the Code of Federal Regulations.
Topical Pathfinders
This GPO site provides links to federal web pages organized by subject area.
 
Federal Bulletin Board
GPO mounts public files from Federal agencies at this site in a variety of formats.
 
Federal Depository Libraries
This site provides links to lists of Federal Depository Libraries. It also provides information about the Depository Library program.
 
Catalog of U.S. Government Publications
The Catalog (CGP) lists U.S. government publications which are available through the Federal Depository Library Program. It is available in the library on microfiche and CD-ROM or via the site below:

The library at the University of Michigan developed this site to provide links to government documents which are pertinent to current events. The site contains archives of entries since 1995.

This outstanding site prepared by the Government Documents section at Columbia University provides links to reports from federal government agencies about many key topics. 
 
Thomas: Legislative Information on the Internet
Maintained by the Library of Congress, this site provides links to the U.S. Congress and legislative activity for the current congressional session and several previous sessions.
 
United States Code
The General and Permanent Laws of the United States as of 16 January 1996. This site maintained by the Legal Information Institute of the Cornell Law School allows researchers to search or browse individual titles of the code.
