- An online collection of children's books in various languages.

- Tennessee Electronic Library
- The Tennessee Electronic Library provides access to journal articles and other reference material. Two databases are particularly useful. INFOTRAC Educators 200, Educator's Reference Complete and Professional Collection each have a subject heading for Early Childhood Education and contain full text articles from journals such as Exceptional Children (1989 to present), Childhood Education (1996 to present), Instructor (1992 to present) and Teaching Children Mathematics (Sep 1994 to present). Health Reference Center Academic provides articles and pamphlets which may be helpful for both professional and parental information concerning childhood health and nutrition.
- Education Full Text
- H.W. Wilson's Education Full Text database provides access to full text articles from several journals that cover early childhood teaching including Child Study Journal (1996 to present), Instructor (1999 to present), Scholastic Early Childhood Today (1999 to present) and Topics in Early Childhood Education(1996 to present). It also provides indexing (citations and abstracts) for several other journals that cover early childhood.
- Child Care & Early Education Research Connections
- This site provides an index to early childhood research from peer reviewed journals and documents from private and government agencies. Many of the documents are available in full text. Most of the articles from the peer reviewed journals must be located in other databases such as those listed above.
- Early Childhood Research & Practice (ECRP)
- ECRP is an online journal which has a spring and fall issue each year. No subscription is necessary. Issues from previous years are available at this site.
- Scholastic Inc.
- These links provide subscription information for Scholastic's journals, Early Childhood Today and Instructor. Scholastic's site also provides a web page for Teachers which includes links to useful resources.
- Teaching K-8
- The Teaching K-8 website provides access to selected articles from the current issue. Subscribers may access a "Green Pages" database of "short, skill-building activities for use with students in grades pre-K to 8" from previous issues.
- Teaching Tolerance
- The Teaching Tolerance web site is a portion of the web site of the Southern Poverty Law Center. It provides links to the Teaching Tolerance Magazine and sections about classroom resources, classroom activities and teaching tools. The Teaching Tolerance Magazine section includes an archive of previous issues.
- Young Children
- Young Children is the National Association for the Education of Young Children's peer reviewed journal. It has a searchable index which provides citations for articles published since 1985.

- Child and Family Web Guide - Tufts University
- This is an excellent site which has links to other web sites reviewed by the experts at Tufts University. It has links to topics by age ( infants 0-2 & young children 2-6) and also an index search where you can search specific topics.
