What is CELTA?
CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is an internationally recognised qualification in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages.
CELTA course is to develop a practical awareness of adult learners, the English language, and language learning materials and resources. There are three components of assessment: candidate’s professional development, assessment of teaching practice and written assignments. You will have written assignments, and your progress will be assessed throughout the course. There is no final exam. Each course is assessed by an external assessor (approved and appointed by Cambridge).

When will you study?
We run this course twice a year: the first course will start on 24 April 2011and the second course will start on 29 May 2011. You will study five days a week, from 08:00 to 17:00. Two of these classes will be input sessions, three will cover teaching practice. The course includes six hours of observed teaching (to be arranged in afternoons and evenings).
How much will it cost?
The full cost of the course is QR 10,000 (including registration fee). To secure your place, the registration fee must be paid after successfully passed your CELTA Interview at our reception desk between 08:00 and 20:00 (Sunday to Wednesdays) , 08:00 and 15:00 (Saturday and Thursday).
