Founded in 1826, UCL's place among the very best of the UK's universities - with an outstanding reputation for research and teaching - is well established.
Courses offered
A wide range of subjects are offered, including computer science, economics, engineering, laws, medicine and life sciences, mathematical and physical sciences, and the humanities and social sciences. The Eastman Dental Institute, the Slade School of Fine Art and the Bartlett School of Architecture and Planning (recently rated one of the world's top ten schools of architecture) are also integral parts of UCL.
Undergraduate degree programmes are available in most of UCL's 72 academic departments, as are one-year Master's and three-year PhD programmes. Opportunities also exist for those currently attending German universities to participate in study abroad programmes as visiting students.
