Climate

Hong Kong has a sub-tropical/temperate climate with hot, humid summers where temperatures climb to more than 30 degrees Centigrade. Winters are generally mild although temperatures may sometimes drop below 10 degrees Centigrade. There is more rain in the summer, including torrential downpours. The city may also be affected by typhoons, most commonly from July to September. Air conditioning is in use everywhere during the warmer months.
