Approach to studying

Many local and mainland students take their studies seriously, spending long hours in the library. This may contrast with overseas students who are not only keen to study but are also usually interested in spending time learning about and experiencing other aspects of life in Hong Kong. In class, Chinese students may be more reserved and challenge professors less than overseas students are used to in their home institutions.
