本協會十分榮幸邀請到英國International Association for the Evaluation of Education Achievement的主席Dr Seamus Hegarty為客席講者，分享英國在特殊教育方面的發展，與教育工作者分享教學法和經驗。是次研討會共有百多名本港教育工作者，包括教育統籌局的同工、教育心理學家香港、教育學院的學者、校長和老師出席。
是次講座由香港教育統籌局與英國文化協會合辦，並獲香港教育學院支持。
