COMPETITION IN MF DNES DAILY

Win a free course!

Read our series of English lessons in MF DNES daily and answer the quiz questions correctly.

Conditions of competition:

  1. The British Council publishes a series of LearnEnglish materials in MF DNES daily each Wednesday, starting on 6 August.
  2. In each issue, there will be a quiz question related to the content of the lesson.
  3. You will find the question on the web. After four weeks, you will have to answer all four questions at once and send your answers to Martina Guzova at martina.guzova@britishcouncil.cz.
  4. After each month we will draw one winner from the correct entries. The prize will be a free one-term course of his or her choice (based on the level of English after taking a placement test).There will be three draws (end of August, September and October).

Question 1:  What are two examples of creepy crawlies?

Answer:  Any of the following – spiders, cockroaches, bugs, centipedes

Question 2:  Which country has introduced a new concept in old people’s homes?

Answer:  France

Question 3:  What vowel is missing from Perec’s novel?

Answer:  E

Question 4:  What does ‘tingo’ mean?

Answer:  To borrow objects from a friend’s home, one by one, until there is nothing left
