Writer and performer Lemn Sissay was the latest UK artist to participate in the British Council UK Writer-in-Residence Program at California State University, Los Angeles. While at Cal State L.A. this winter Lemn taught on campus and off and held public readings and performances in the Los Angeles area.

Lemn joined other contemporary British artists as part of an ongoing literature initiative at major American universities. Read more about the UK Writer-in-Residence program in our special feature.
