The language of Law for studies and work    

What are the aims of these courses?

The purpose of these courses is to improve usage and understanding of the language of Law through English. Through a wide variety of legal and law related texts students will acquire the reading, vocabulary, writing and listening skills necessary to work on legal materials. The courses are aimed at qualified lawyers and Law students.

We run Legal English courses at the following levels:

Levels 7, 8 and 9 (B1)    a total of 3×40-hour courses   
Level 11 and above (B2+)    a total of 4×40-hour courses   

By the end of the course you will have:

improved your ability to write common legal texts   
improved your legal English reading comprehension skills   
improved your ability to use legal English in a spoken context   
analysed language functions common to legal texts   
expanded your knowledge of key legal terms in English.
