The British Council, Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) have jointly organised the sixth Bosphorus Conferences on EU-Turkey relations. This high-level, invitation-only conference took place in Istanbul on 16-17 October 2009.

Among the participants of the conference were Mehmet Şimşek, Egemen Bağış, Pierre Lellouche, Onur Öymen, Ruprecht Polenz and many other senior figures to discuss the politics and economics of Turkish accession.
