İZMİR WORKSHOP    

The first of the workshops was held in İzmir on 15 May 2008 with the participation of university students from Dokuz Eylül, Ege, İzmir Economy ve Yaşar Universities.

The event started with speeches from Prof. Atila Eralp, Head of the Center for European Studies of the Middle East Technical University; Prof. Canan Balkır, Jean Monnet Professor at Dokuz Eylül University; and Kirsty Hughes from the UK who is known with her research and articles on international relations.

The speeches were followed by 3 group works where there was more detailed discussion on the themes of the Bosphorus Conference

Our conclusions   
The views that came out of the group works conducted in line with Bosphorus Conference themes were reported by Dr. Çiğdem Üstün, Dr. Ayşe İdil Aybars and Dr. Burcu Gültekin-Punsmann from the Center for European Studies of the Middle East Technical University.
