British Council Thailand

Society

The overall aim of our work in governance is to develop and strengthen democratic and legal institutions in Thailand by working in partnership with both government and civil society using British models and values.

We advance debate, knowledge and skills through education, training and professional updating; the latter being central themes which run through most of our governance work in Thailand.

Sustainability is a key pre-requisite to all our projects. We work with both Thai and British partners for one to two years and we then hand-over the projects to Thai partners who then sustain them using their own resources.
