WHAT IS A YOUNG THAI SCIENCE AMBASSADOR?
Young Thai Science Ambassadors are Thailand’s most capable science communicators. They are young people with a passion not only for scientific but also for communicating science to the Thai people. The Young Thai Science Ambassador Award is a project of the British Council Thailand, National Science Museum, and Royal Science Society of Thailand under the patronage of his Majesty the King and True Visions Co., Ltd. We aim to support young Thai scientists to be the best in the world.
WIN TRIP TO THE UK
The competition winners will have the opportunity go on a two-week-all-expenses-paid trip to the UK to attend London International Youth Science Forum. You will spend two weeks in July – August 2008 with 250 other successful Young Science Ambassadors from 60 countries around the world. You will participate in various science activities including visits to research and science establishments and lectures by interesting science communicators. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You should be a Thai national age between 17-21 years old who are undergraduate students studying in the field of science (i.e. Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medial Science, etc.), have a good command of English and have a passion for science and communication.
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO ENTER?
To enter you should:
1.Form a team of two
2.Develop a campaign to communicate climate change. You do not need to develop the whole campaign, but you should tell us
3.Complete the application form.
4.Send your completed entry to us by Thursday 31st January 2008.
Entries should be no more that three sides of A4 plus additional materials as appropriate. Entries can be in Thai or English.
