Academy of Design

Alliance Francaise

The Alliance Française is a network of more than 1200 independent associations linked to the Alliance Française in Paris which is dedicated to the teaching of French and the organisation of social and cultural activities with no involments in politics, religious or races groups.

The Alliance Française of colombo (which has more than 2000 enrolments each year) is not just a centre for French language, but also for French culture. Although some of our events are in french, a large amount is multilingual : french, english, sinhala, tamil.

Barefoot

Barefoot started in 1958 as a livelihoods program for disadvantaged young women is now Sri Lanka's most renowned handloom and textiles manufacturer.  Barefoot products are completely handmade and all materials including dyes are safe and eco-friendly.
