what we do in arts

We believe that art, in all its different forms, offers direct means of communication between people across the world. We aim to bring to Sri Lanka a sample of the very best in contemporary arts from the UK – be it theatre, film, music, dance, painting, sculpture, or photography. We also create opportunities for UK and Sri Lankan artists to work together and to share ideas and experiences. One of the ways we do this is by running workshops and discussion sessions alongside our performances.

English literature is another area where we have a lot to offer and our Libraries in Colombo and Kandy stock the latest titles. In addition we aim to use literature and creative writing events to provide a space for discussion and debate on a range of cultural and social issues.
