Edinburgh University honours Scottish International Scholarship winners

The achievement of students who have been awarded a Scottish International Scholarship has been marked by a special ceremony at Edinburgh University.

Scottish International Scholarship winners from India, China South Africa and Australia were each awarded a certificate in recognition of their success.

Sandhya Prabhakaran from Kerala, India, who is one of eight Scottish International Scholars studying at Edinburgh University was delighted with her award.

Sandhya who is studying for an MSc in Artificial Intelligence said: ‘I am really glad to be in Scotland on the Scottish International Scholarship. I totally agree that Scotland is the best country to be in with the warmth of the people, the challenges the environment provides and the great places around me.’

Scottish education has always had a world wide reputation for excellence and now that Edinburgh University has moved up the university ranking tables to fifth place in Europe, Scottish International Scholarships have become even more prestigious. Successful Scholars can choose to study at any Higher Educational Institution in Scotland.

We are also delighted to announce that after three successful years the Scottish Government is funding Scottish International Scholarships for 2008. These will again be managed by British Council Scotland.

We invite students from China and India to compete for the exciting opportunity to study for an MSc in science, technology, finance and the creative industries. To find out more, please visit our web site.
